Setelah sukses besar dengan produk iPad, Apple sebentar lagi (kabarnya 11 Maret 2011) akan meluncurkan iPad generasi terbaru, yang dikenal dengan iPad 2. Jika dilihat sekilas, tidak ada yang spesial dari iPad 2 ini. Yap, ini dikarenakan iPad 2 memiliki resolusi layar yang sama, yaitu 1024 * 768 dengan layar 9.7 inch, dengan iPad pendahulunya, kita sebut saja iPad 1.

Namun jika kamu menenteng iPad 2, kamu akan merasakan bahwa iPad 2 lebih ringan. Sebagai perbandingan kamu akan menanggung beban 680g (WiFi) atau 730g (WiFi + 3G) untuk iPad 1. Sedangkan jika kamu menenteng iPad 2, kamu hanya akan menanggung beban 601g (WiFi), 607g (Verizon), 613g (AT&T).

iPad 2 juga dihadirkan dalam dimensi yang lebih tipis, berkurang sekitar 5 mm dari iPad 1, sekaligus mengukuhkan bahwa iPad 2 adalah tablet tertipis untuk sekarang ini. Pengikisan setebal 5 mm ini bisa disebut luar biasa, karena tentunya tak mudah dan tak murah menggunakan chip yang tipis. Namun kamu tidak perlu khawatir, karena iPad 2 dijual dengan harga yang sama dengan iPad 1, sekitar $500 untuk versi 16 GB Wifi. Hal inilah yang kabarnya mengakibatkan harga iPad 1 terjun $100, menjadi $500 – $100 = $400.

Yang paling diunggulkan dari iPad 2 tentunya adalah segi performansi. Diusung dengan processor dual core berkecepatan 1 GHz dan berduet dengan sistem operasi terbaru Apple, A5, yang sama-sama akan diluncurkan dengan iPad 2, performasi iPad 2 tentunya akan meningkat.

Satu lagi yang perlu dicatat dari iPad 2 adalah hadirnya kamera depan dan belakang. Kamera depan memang masih VGA, karena tujuannya bukan untuk foto, tetapi untuk face time, yaitu semacam video call tetapi tidak menggunakan jaringan 3G GSM, melainkan menggunakan jaringan internet.

Purpose:

Users can carry around a portable library with this device and turn pages with a simple touch. Books, newspapers and magazines are downloaded or sent wirelessly to the device. Users can highlight passages and make notes, and your spot is always save.

Feature, depending on the product, can include non-glare screens, a read-to-me feature, adjustable text size and wireless 3G coverage.
